November 21 Presentation & Discussion: TDC’s Lake Taupō Foreshore Erosion & Reserve Management” – Greg Hadley, District Parks Operation Manager

General Business: LWAG archival project & website update – Jane meeting with Kim Manunui re; website content training. Mercury have awarded grant for Jane’s hours for this initial work. Paul has begun archival record process. WRC will store LWAG archives.

Statutory Processes: LTCC letter received re; decision after recent WRC elections stating that committees will not be continuing in present form. Discussion incl: agreed LWAG to write letter re; concerns. Natalie will attend further meeting discussing processes going forward.

General Business: LWAG archival project & website update incl; first draft of website complete. Jane and Paul working on content. TDC partnership morning tea – Paul White attended.

Chapter 3.10 review (see also October 17 Minutes attached Nov 21 agenda) WRC stage 1 relates to Overseer version incl. Plan Change 2 SPP process & Stage 2 to include all other matters relating to rules for Lake Taupo catchment.

Zero Carbon Bill update incl; no changes to methane target.

EPA Water Conservation Order (WCO) for Ngaruroro & Clive rivers (LWAG submitted in support). Decision recommends WCO for part of river above Whanawhana cable way and headwaters. 8 further appeals lodged.

MfE Freshwater Policy – LWAG submitted. Update and link.

‘What is Gen Less?’ Stuff article re; EECA goals, processes for Gen Less energy conservation initiatives towards long-term behavioural changes.
