May/June 2021 including LWAG Agenda & AGM June 17

General Business: Lakes and Waterways Action Group are hosting Alison Dewes at our June meeting and AGM 5.15 pm on Thursday June 17 upstairs at the Taupo Library.


Alison, whose masters’ thesis was on economic resilience and environmental performance of dairy farms in the upper Waikato region, will present on ‘A community-led Bay of Plenty Project’ based on improving ecological outcomes for Te Waihi Estuary.  

We are pleased to be able to use the Library fo a venue once again after technical issues with their lift are now resolved.

Statutory Processes: LWAG are also going to hear from Contact Energy about their 'Geofuture' processes in the district.

Of interest is the decision by both TDC and WRC on their Long Term Plans to retain the Lake Taupo Protection Trust for at least a further two years.
