General Business: LWAG are please to be hosting Manaaki Whenua/Landcare Research scientist Malcolm McLeod at our November 18 meeting (Agenda link below) Malcolm will present on N-leaching under grazed lucerne trials and update us on further research in the Taupo catchment. All welcome - Acapulco Motel conference room, 5.15 pm Thursday 18th November.
We have confirmed Dr James Renwick for February 17th 2022. Dr Renwick will be presenting on Climate Science and Global Warming issues. Further information to follow.
Statutory Processes: Nukuhau Private Plan Change hearings were held via zoom with commissioners interested in our opposition to gully modification, & multiple benefits of recreation/stormwater/biodiversity uses and potential management guidelines. Proposed development already agreed to be provisional on wastewater removal to Taupo. Deliberations underway.
Contact Energy’s Todd Baldwin will present on studies relating to the forthcoming Resource Consent application at LWAG’s January 27 meeting (n.b. 4th Thursday of the month for January only)
